About Dr. Sadaf

I'm Dr. Sadaf Iftikhar, and I've spent my career learning one simple truth: women's health is too often discussed in whispers, when it deserves to be discussed openly, honestly, and without judgment.

That belief took root early, during my medical training at Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan. It was there, while completing my internship at Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi, that I found myself drawn again and again to gynecology. I noticed how many women arrived at appointments carrying not just physical symptoms, but years of unanswered questions — things they'd been too embarrassed to ask, or simply never had the chance to. I wanted to be the doctor who changed that.

I pursued that goal through my residency in gynecology and obstetrics at Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital in Gujrat, Pakistan, and in 2020, I earned my Fellowship from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (FCPS) — the country's top certification for specialists in my field, comparable to board certification for OB-GYNs in the U.S. Each step of that training reinforced the same lesson: good care isn't just about treating a condition, it's about making sure a woman never feels alone in facing it.

Today, I practice at two hospitals in Gujrat, Pakistan: Aziz Bhatti Teaching Hospital, where I serve as a staff gynecologist and obstetrician, and Doctors Hospital, where I'm part of the core gynecology team. In both settings, my priority is the same — to listen fully, explain clearly, and make sure every patient leaves knowing more about her body than she did when she walked in. That's the philosophy I bring to every appointment: every woman deserves clear information, compassionate care, and the confidence to ask questions without hesitation.

What drives me

In her own words

“Menstruation and menstrual issues are still heavily influenced by societal taboos. I hope that people can develop a better understanding of these natural processes. My aim is for society to become more informed, supportive, and focused on prioritizing women’s health.”
