About Dr. Maham
Hi, I'm Dr Maham Shahid — thanks for stopping by. I am currently completing my clinical rotations at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. I also completed an ENT elective at Liaquat National Hospital, which gave me hands-on exposure to a specialty I hadn't worked in before medical school.
Alongside my clinical training, I'm actively involved in medical research and scientific writing. I've contributed to PubMed-indexed research across neurology, cardiovascular surgery, infectious diseases, and mental health — and along the way, I've developed a genuine interest in obstetrics and gynecology, which is what drew me to writing about menstrual and reproductive health. For me, research and clinical training go hand in hand: understanding how the body works clinically is what makes it possible to explain it clearly and accurately to the people reading about it.
